Central Middle School Science Bowl Kids Take First at State

Eden Prairie’s Central Middle School Science Bowl participants took home first place at the Minnesota State Regional Science Bowl Feb. 14. The big win means the team will be headed to the National Science Bowl competition in May.

According to a school district press release, team members are eighth-graders Frank Han, Andrew Mou, Dante Natal, Shruti Somasundaram and Patrick Yang. Their coaches are Bill Prem and Cathy Bockenstedt. Their coaches are Bill Prem and Cathy Bockenstedt.

Over 225,000 students have participated in the National Science Bowl since it began in 1991. The national competition will take place on May 1 and 2 in Washington D.C.
