Eden Prairie Adds New Wrestling Associate Coach

Former Apple Valley wrestling co-coach Jim Jackson is joining the coaching staff in Eden Prairie High School this fall.

According to WCCO, the addition of Jackson to the staff will join two of the state’s top coaches in history. Jackson won 14 state titles during his time at Apple Valley, and he will join Eden Prairie head coach Scot Davis, who won two state titles at Owatonna and is regarded by the National Wrestling Hall of Fame as the nation’s all-time high school wins leader, WCCO reported.

After an awesome season with Apple Valley, Jackson stepped down in 2012. According to WCCO, Jackson said his daughter encouraged him to return to coaching.

Davis is in his second year as head coach and led Eden Prairie to its first Lake Conference championship last season, according to the Pioneer Press.
