Explorers Take Home Awards from National Conference

Thirteen police Explorers made up of young adults from Edina and Eden Prairie recently attended the National Explorer Conference in Bloomington, Ind., and came home with a couple awesome awards.

According to the Sun Current, theĀ Explorer program provides young adults ages 14 to 20 information and training on the purpose, mission and objectives of law enforcement. More than 2,000 explorers from around the country participated in the national conference.

Edina/Eden Prairie Explorer Alex Geiger took first place in the police exam and physical fitness testing, and Katie Kline took second place in the police exam category, the Sun Current reported. Of the more than 750 who took the police exam, only four received 100 percent, and two were from the Edina/Eden Prairie Explorers program.
