The Works of Chopin and Camille Saint-Saëns Come to Life at Eden Prairie High School

Eden Prairie welcomes the renowned Academy of Russian Ballet’s production of “Carnival of the Animals and Les Sylphides” for an unforgettable performance! The event is scheduled for March 22nd at 3 p.m. at Eden Prairie High School. With popular works by Camille Saint-Saëns and Chopin, it is sure to be an event for everyone to enjoy.

 

This entertaining ballet brings the animals to life! Watch the majestic lion, the swaying mules, the dancing elephant, and the bouncy kangaroos become real on stage. You’ve never seen a carnival like this before, starring the famous Dying Swan. Choreographed by Michael Fokin for Anna Pavlova, this musical work by Camille Saint- Saëns is a timeless children’s classic! Les Sylphides was originally entitled Chopiniana, when it first premiered in St. Petersburg, Russia, in 1907. The music of Frédéric Chopin is also featured.
