Two Eden Prairie Students Get Ann Bancroft Foundation Grants

Two Eden Prairie students have been awarded grants from the Ann Bancroft Foundation.

According to the Eden Prairie News, Prairie View Elementary School student Estelle Berg, 11, was awarded $400 for gymnastics at Legacy Gymnastics, and Eden Prairie’s Destinee Bursch, a 13-year-old student at Chaska Middle School East was awarded $500 for Minnesota Fury Amateur Athletic Union basketball.

All told, the foundation awarded $82,064.77 to 177 Minnesota girls for its spring grant cycle, the article said.

The Ann Bancroft Foundation mission is to empower Minnesota girls to imagine something bigger and reach their full potential, the report said, and also connects girls to mentors who provide guidance, encouragement and friendship at a critical time in their lives.
